TODAY: NYC Planning Commission vote on Columbia University's plan to use eminent domain
![]() |
Monday, November 26, the New York City Planning Commission will hold a special public meeting to vote on Columbia University's proposal to expand onto 17 acres of Manhattanville. The plan would use eminent domain against thriving businesses, like Tuck-It-Away Storage and Hudson North American, which have invested in West Harlem for years and do not want to sell. We encourage you to attend the meeting and tell the Planning Commission that you oppose the use of eminent domain for private gain. Show your support for the West Harlem business owners!
