Ratner Gets Slap On the Wrist For Violating Order

The city’s Department of Buildings (DOB) is no match for Forest City Ratner Companies (FCRC).Earlier in June the company demolished a building at 622 Pacific Street despite a stop-work order and three other building code violations issued June 10. A fourth, for failing to comply with the stop-work order, was issued June 14. By that time FCRC had completed its demolition.
The penalty? FCRC will be fined up to $2,500 for each of the four violations.
