Carolers of a Different Tune

Carolersdbs.jpg

From the Brooklyn Downtown Star:

The Prospect Heights Action Carolers were out singing during the holiday season throughout Park Slope and Prospect Heights. Here they are in front of Gates Restaurant & Bar on 5th Avenue at 3rd Street. Although these weren't your traditional holiday carols, instead they had a decidedly anti-Nets arena theme. Among the PHAC classic favorites: "O, Holy Blight," "Ave Arena," "Wreck the Malls," "Condemned for Christmas," "The 12 Days of Ratner," "Marty, the Two-Faced B.P.," "Hey, Listen Marty Markowitz" (sung to the tune of "God Bless Ye Merry Gentlemen"), "Blighted Heights" and "Christmas Is Coming, Ratner's Getting Fat." This was the Prospect Heights Action Carolers third annual Christmas Sing Out, with music and lyrics by Bruce 'n Marty; arranged by Big Bertha Lewis.
